A kojinshi (個人誌, kojinshi), literally "personal magazine", is a term used most often in Japanese fandom for a doujinshi that contains fanworks by one single person (one doujinka or a doujinshi circle that consists of only one person).
Because the word "doujinshi" literally means "magazine by like-minded people", to speak of a "doujinshi" made by only one person may technically be a bit strange. However, kojinshi probably make up the majority of all doujinshi created today. Because the printing costs for doujinshi were quite high before consumer printing technology became widely available, doujinshi created by multiple people who could share costs used to be a lot more common than kojinshi.[1]
