Kix's Humble Abode was a personal slash fanfiction site by Bast and Shar, where other authors also have a page, include Jean Kluge and her artwork. It was hosted by GeoCities and posterlly in another host. Kix's was listed as a Sentinel slash site at Ultimate Slash Links and it was a member of Freedom of Expression in Fanfiction.

Announcements

First, I would like to say this is not directed towards any one author. Secondly, for the most part, all the authors who have used my characters have respected my wishes in every way.

It's been brought to my attention that some people believe that the characters of Dante Ciarán McClean, Skip Thomas (aka Skip McClean), Kix Thomas (aka Kix Thomas-Banks and Kix Banks), SJ Thomas-Banks, and Patrick Aiden Fitzgerald belong to various other people who I have allowed to write with my characters. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. These characters belong to ME. Even though I do not post new chapters to my webpage, I still write. The attitudes of some people in fandom over my characters is why I no longer post online for the most part. I would like it understood that these are MY characters and they belong solely to me and all writers currently using my original characters in stories or series are urged to complete the works in question and to refrain from using my characters in the future unless I give special permission. Please respect my wishes.

Hi everyone...

Since we don't have the update list anymore I thought some of you might be interested in what I've been up to lately. In the RL arena, Gary and I split up after 16 years together, and I've been rather ill for the past couple of years. I'm still working on Dante, the 5th novel. It will not be online, if I finish it (it will only be available in zine format). I want to finish it, but frankly, I seem to have gotten burnt out. Not with just Dante, but with everything else too. I wrote many stories (and novels) in the Due South fandom (RayK/Fraser) but haven't finished (or even started!) a story in months. I have agreed to do an original fiction story for a HIV theme zine to benefit http://www.amFar.org which hopes to be out for EclectiCon in November 2004. I have not decided if I will do a Dante/Skip story (AU, of course) or some other original character - Tarot and Tobin, perhaps? Or mayhaps just introducing new characters?
