Jenny is a character on Doctor Who. She is introduced as the Doctor's daughter through a cloning process. She only appeared in a single episode of the show, but the audio drama Jenny: The Doctor's Daughter continued her story after its airing.
Canon
When the Doctor, Donna and Martha visit a unknown space station the Doctor's genetic material is taken from him without consent and is used to make a clone, Jenny. The episode follows Jenny learning from Donna and the Doctor, while they try and figure out why there is a war going on and how to stop it. Jenny is "killed" near the end of the episode and the Doctor is upset after finally having accepted that Jenny is his daughter. After the Doctor and his companions leave, Jenny revives via regeneration energy and decides to take a space ship and go off on adventures and help people like her father.
The Big Finish audio adventures take place after Jenny's appearance on the show, and follow her adventures through space with her new companion Noah.

Pairings
Many fanworks focus on Jenny's familial relationship with The Doctor. Jenny's most popular ship is a femslash pairing with Clara Oswald, a companion of the Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors, whom she never canonically met. There is also a very small amount of fanworks shipping her with Noah, Jenny's travelling companion from the Big Finish audio series, although this seems to be a fairly rare pair.

- Reunion with the Doctor: many fanworks focus on Jenny reuniting with the Doctor, perhaps with them going on an adventure/mission together. These fanworks may also explore what it would be like for Jenny to see her father in his different incarnations.
- Meeting Other Characters: having Jenny meet other characters, with or without the Doctor present, is common. Some popular choices are Jack Harkness, River Song, and Clara Oswald.
