Jeff Winger is a main character in the NBC sitcom Community. He is portrayed by Joel McHale.
Canon Background
Jeff is a student at Greendale Community College and the organizer and unofficial leader of the central study group. After it was discovered that he had faked his undergraduate degree, Jeffrey was forced to leave his prestigious position at a local law firm and enroll in Greendale Community College[1]. Originally, Jeff planned to work his way through Greendale as quickly as possible by cheating, but as the series progressed Jeff grew very close to his study group and dedicated himself to earning his degree and contributing the school environment.

In canon, Jeff had a romantic relationship with a Greendale professor (Michelle Slater) and a casual sexual relationship with Britta. Jeff has also had a long-standing flirtation with Annie, beginning in the first season episode Debate 109 and becoming much more pronounced in later seasons. He has had numerous one night stands, and is portrayed as a bit of a lady's man (or jerk). The most popular pairing for Jeff in fanworks is Annie, by a wide margin, although he also often paired with Britta or put in a threesome or moresome with some combination of study group members.
