Jealousy is a romantic trope found in both fanon and canon. It generally involves a character expressing bitterness over the person they are pining for being in a romantic relationship with or attracting the interest of someone else. It can also occur in established relationships when one character is extremely possessive or constantly suspicious of infidelity.
