Obsession is a trope in which a character has an intense and often healthy fixation on another. This typically involves (usually unrequited) romantic or sexual interest, but can occur in the context of friendship, family relationships, etc.
Stalking and sasaeng behaviour are real-life manifestions of obsessive tendencies. Real-person fiction centering on celebrities and public figures sometimes uses these phenomena as plot elements.
