holobooru, aka just holo, is a NSFW booru hosted by The Booru Project for archiving fanart, cosplay, merch, and any other imagery pertaining to the hololive production fandom. Artwork is mainly categorized with tags of a group member’s branch such as "hololive_English", "hololive_Japan", "DEV_IS", or "HOLOSTARS_Japan". It hosts over 12,000 works of fanart as of 2024.

Archival Scope

holobooru aims to archive images which would otherwise be excluded from more popular boorus such as Danbooru or Gelbooru, whether due to not meeting quality standards, falling out of the scope of other boorus, or simply being unnoticed by non-fans. These include but are not limited to:

Drawfriend Deliveries

holobooru maintains a mostly complete archive of hololive images delivered to requesters from the /vt/ Drawthread. Drawfriends occasionally upload their own artwork to the booru while linking to the original post on 4chan. Anons are also encouraged to upload original hololive content found on other imageboards or the other boards of 4chan, usually tagging it with "from_<board>".

Special Events

Mythbreakers

holobooru hosts the one of the largest collections of Mythbreakers fanart, a campaign of the World of Darkness TTRPG run by the members of hololive English -Myth- from 2021–2022.

Expos, Pop-ups, and Collaborations

Hololive often collaborates with other companies to present live events such as the Dreamhack Melbourne concert, panels like those at DoKomi, pop-up shops or cafés, or mutual sponsorships like with the Pacific Racing Team. These events can spawn obscure official artwork and fanwork, photographs, and cosplay which holobooru wishes to collect.

Fan-made Hashtags

holobooru categorizes fan art using the names of hashtags from Twitter by replacing the “#” with the “hash:” prefix such as:

Conventions

The annual hololive SUPER EXPO and HoloFes display many original artworks, life-size dioramas, statues, cosplays, merch, and other imagery of interest to holobooru.
