Ray asked, his tone that of a belligerent child, although his voice was slightly slurred... a fact that was not lost on the Canadian. "We've got to stop the bleeding." He was growing desperately concerned over his friend's pallor and the sweeping lassitude that he could see seeping in to replace the lost blood.")

From the editorial:
'For the Cause' -this is an ‘X-Files’ missing scene story set just before ‘Tunguska’ and is only two pages long. I rarely, if ever, write missing scenes, but I had to write this one because I could see it so clearly in my mind’s eye... oh, alright... I could see Krycek so clearly... Nicholas Lea - I love your character (does that make me a bad person?). Anyway, I thought that I’d like to share it with you all. Let me know what you think.
I’ve also changed the format of the zine, swapping from the Arial font to Times New Roman. I decided that I liked the TNR font more than the old one, which seemed a bit harsh on the old eyes. I haven’t changed the layout of the zine itself, although I have listened to both sides of the argument -i.e. leaving/not leaving gaps between paragraphs, book format, etc. To tell the truth, I like the way the zines look, and as an avid zine reader myself, I have to state that most of my reading is done late at night, and I need the gaps between the paragraphs to keep me sane, otherwise I’d be losing myself all over the place. Now, I know that this is a controversial area, but I just wanted to let you, out there, know that I do listen to your comments and I do value them, but in the end I have to go with what I feel is right, as I think it does come down to personal taste.
Another important event in my life recently was finally getting set up on the Internet. As you can now see. I’ve got an e-mail address: [email protected]. If you have any comments, then please do drop me a line. I always like feedback, and - if I’m honest -I also like to chat... boy, do I like to chat... this zine nearly didn’t get finished because I got on the net... there is just sooooo much out there, folks... it makes my toes curl, and I won’t even mention the lack of sleep!! I!
