Grandecho is the pairing of Grand Magnificent and Echo Reverie, two player characters from Friends at the Table's Twilight Mirage season. In fandom, it is one of the most popular ships from Twilight Mirage, and it remains popular in the fandom as a whole even years after the season's end.[1]
Canon
In canon, Grand Magnificent is a pretentious, mononymous artist and engineer, and Echo is a martial artist and petty criminal; they work together as part of a small envoy sent to prepare the planet Quire for possible future settlement. They have very different personalities, and one throughline in the season is Echo frequently needing to rescue Grand from peril.

Creator Response
As with several other PC/PC ships in Friends at the Table, such as Tenfour and Balence, the cast of the show was aware of the ship's popularity and addressed it in the season's post-mortem episode. In the case of Grandecho, the players stated that they wanted to keep the exact nature of the relationship between Grand Magnificent and Echo vague, citing shows like The X-Files and Bones that they felt suffered for having the UST between main characters become major plot points. Fans were encouraged to take their headcanons and run with them, however.[2]

- ^ @dancy-nrew (Apr 11, 2022): You ever think about how the Mr. Magnificent and Elegy scene was possible because of their shared moment of intimacy building Echo's mech, so you have the set up and payoff of this bond and then they are IMMEDIATELY blasted with the independence wave telling them that they are alone, that they have always been and will always be alone, and then they don't talk to each other for like a year and a half? But then, in the end, after everything, they DO reach out? They act on that connection? Grandecho is thematically relevant to twilight mirage welcome to my powerpoint. Tumblr post.
