Ghetsis/N, known mostly as HarmoniaShipping, CoronationShipping and/or ゲーN (GēN), is a common incest ship in the Pokémon fandom. It pairs Ghetsis (G-Cis) and his son N (N). Ghetsis raised N to be the puppet leader of Team Plasma before N, with help from the player, learns he was being manipulated and leaves Ghetsis and Team Plasma for good.

-Shipping Name Origin

"CoronationShipping" was the first to be coined, sometime between 10 September[Notes 1] 31 October 2010[Notes 2] for the Neverending Romance ship name list. Later, in 2011, a community for the ship was founded on LiveJournal which primarily used the name "HarmoniaShipping" instead, with Coronation only being used if the relationship was consensual.[1] This differs from the way the vast majority of -shipping names in the fandom operate, where the name is for any version of the pairing. Some shippers, though, considered any version of the ship non-con, thus HarmoniaShipping described them in any context regardless.[2]

The original English-speaking HarmoniaShipping community, which largely revolved around ginnyperry and girl-apart5, the two main writers for the ship, was relatively isolated from the rest of the Pokémon community. Their influence was largely on LiveJournal and to a lesser extent the early days of the Pokémon fandom on Tumblr in 2011 to 2012.

"Choochoofag"

Harmoniashippers vs Blankshippers on unpopularpokemonopinions.jpg

During 2011, there seemed to be an equal amount of fan activity for Ghetsis/N and Emmet/Ingo in the English-speaking side of the fandom, another M/M incest ship which, largely because of the Japanese side of the fandom and the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus in 2021, would later go on to completely usurp it in relevance.

Although many shipped both, an anon on unpopularpokemonopinions, either pretending to be a Ghetsis/N shipper or being one themself, would coin choochoofag to poke fun at them on 19 December 2011.[3][4] It was adopted by some Emmet/Ingo shippers to poke fun back at them soon afterwards, though the wank died down pretty quickly.[5]
