Founders era is a term in the Harry Potter fandom generally used to describe a fanfiction, RPG, or other work that is set when Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin are still alive and are the founders of Hogwarts, often still teaching it.
Fanworks often paired up the Founders together: Rowena/Salazar, Rowena/Godric, Godric/Helga, Godric/Salazar, Helga/Salazar, Helga/Rowena.
Due to Deathly Hallows canon, Helena Ravenclaw is often included in the Founders Era.
