For Those Who Wait is a gen and slash multimedia fanzine. It contains stories relating to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
A Submission Request for the Second Issue
After watching the 9/11 special on tv tonight, I was filled with the urge to complete the second issue of FOR THOSE WHO WAIT. With the first issue, we managed to raise more than $700.00 for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and the New York City Firefighters Association. With the sale of the Buffy the Musical CDs and the script of "The Sentinel by Blair Sandburg" (both still available), we raised nearly $300.00 for the September 11th Fund and the Twin Towers Fund. Let's do it again!
I'm opening for submissions to FOR THOSE WHO WAIT 2, a zine focused on the events of September 11, 2001. Any fandom is accepted, either gen or slash. And the stories don't have to be about how your favorite characters got through 9/11, but could also be about how they are dealing with it now -- six months later. Anything leading up to, during or after the tragedies will be accepted.
Do you still have feelings about that day that need to be expressed? Do you want to DO something to help all the people whose lives were irrevocably changed on that day? Then sit down and write a story and send it to me! I want to make the second issue at least as big as the first (180 digest-sized pages) and represent as many different fandoms as possible, so dig deep, fen, and come out writing!
All money above and beyond the printing costs will be split between the funds. For those of you who don't write, please check out the zine listing for FOR THOSE WHO WAIT 1 on our webpage at www.agentwithstyle.com and contribute by buying a copy. Help those less fortunate than you, and be entertained with a great zine, all at the same time!
