FFN-Slashers-Unite was a public mailing list for slash writers who posted fic at FanFiction.Net.
It was founded on November 19, 2000, possibly by Gypsy Silverleaf.
At the time this mailing list was created, slash writers didn't have that many place to congregate online, and were often harassed. FFN-Slashers-Unite was meant to be a safe environment for slash writers to discuss, promote, and encourage each other and their fanworks.
fanfiction.net-slashers unite! Discuss here what it is like to be a slasher on ff.net and share your funniest flames.... Tired of "eeeeeeew sick!!!11 u pervert! rite somethn strait!"?
Then welcome to ff.net-slashers unite!
All slashers on fanfiction.net summon here to discuss the merits of posting slash there, share their experiences, funniest, cheesiest, silliest, most creative flames, have a good laugh, stand together against bashers and think about how to gain respect.
This list is not intended for sharing fics, but posting links to where your stories on ff.net can be found is very welcome.
Hopefully we can manage to put together some kind of resource for finding your fellow slashers on ff.net and put them in the database.
You don't have to be an active slasher to join this group, but you definitely have to be slash friendly. Being associated with ff.net no longer is a requirement due to their recent anti-slash actions. Every slasher is welcome here!
Needless to say, flaming is not tolerated here. We're *laughing* about you flamers here, so please, don't bother to join. Although... give it a try! It'll be fun, I'm sure, truly smashing... in one way or the other... *eg*
Anybody else, come on in!
