ETERNITY'S CHILD is a very well-written story that many metaphysical possibilities but doesn't quite follow through with them. I enjoyed it, however. [1]
1996
In this story, Kirk and Spock go back in time and come across an old abandoned lighthouse. They thought they were going to end up in ancient Greece, so quite conveniently they are wearing togas, which quite conveniently get wet.
They banter, they fuss, they joke and they bump into each other. They're just a couple of guys camping out. But then, out of nowhere — of course with a little help from the ghostly Metron — they express sexual feelings for one another.
Spock is certainly inexperienced and maybe for my money rather unfair, in that during sex he tells Kirk;" 'I want you to do everything.'" Everything...?
They had been equipped with "automatic" beam back devices that would activate after a short time, but they didn't know exactly when. It's sure a good thing the device was activated after they had sex. Whew! [2]
