Edna Krabappel is a reoccurring character in the animated TV series, The Simpsons, and its related media.

Edna was a fourth grade teacher at Springfield Elementary, notable for her sardonic personality. Following the death of her voice actress, Marcia Wallace, her character was retired from the show (a common practice for Simpsons characters whose actors pass away) and implied to have died offscreen.

Edna is mostly shipped with her canonical love interests: her ex-fiance Seymour Skinner or widower Ned Flanders. Interestingly, the decision to pair Edna with Ned was made after Fox created a poll in which fans could vote either for the pairing or against it ("pro-Nedna" or "anti-Nedna"). The pro-Nedna side won the poll, and the pairing became canon.
