Drew wrote circa 2004 or 2005:

my obsession with *nsync started in, um, high school -- 1998ish? whenever "tearin' up my heart" was released stateside -- but didn't become super crazy until I connected them with slash, which happened upon discovery of the nifty archive (say it with me now... ::shudder:: yes, that's right). then I was reading all the stuff I could get my hands on, but nothing that was super amazing. oh, there were a couple of Really Good Authors, but they posted rarely enough that I was running out of reading material *very* fast, and weeding through all the badfic there was time-consuming. I dropped out of reading *nslash for a while, and got back into it in college when I met a few slashers on campus (odd, considering the size of my college), who directed me to a group of folks on livejournal who wrote stuff frequently and well, and it was a joy again to behold. my first story, "dare", was written in the summer of 2001, and the most recent story, "interesting ingredients", was written in at christmas 2003, but mostly as a way to keep writing; what I consider my actual last story, "over town", was written in summer 2002. so clearly I haven't done popslash in a while.

the obsession with harry potter characters came not when I read the books, but when I saw the first movie. lame, I know, since sean biggerstaff and his superhot accent shouldn't really be a part of the character of oliver wood, but now they're inseparable. I think the whole marcus flint thing is v's fault. or maybe silvia's. not sure which, but somehow that notion (marcus/oliver) got in my head and wouldn't let go. it doesn't make too much sense as a canon pairing, despite the few snatches of text that can be found -- oliver's far too much married to his sport to even consider a relationship that might get in the way. of course, so is marcus, so that might work. I can convince myself of that, which is what led to most of the stories involving the two of them. the rest are challenges, or me bringing in terence higgs, which turned out not to be so much a good thing as a sex-pushing thing. oh, well.

this site [www.femgeeks.net/keeper/] was originally hosted as part of wax jism's "shame is good for you". I then moved to rightthisway.net, hosted by schuyler and my "internet wife" missi. when rtw.net closed in mid-2004, melle offered to host me, and so "down is where we came from" was consolidated and moved to femgeeks.net. this site went live at femgeeks.net august 16, 2004. [N.B.: The site later moved to http://drew.chaotic-creative.com.]
