Canon Relationship
Ship History
A very early Remus/Draco fic is "The Seventh Son" by Penelope-Z, posted at FanFiction.Net in December 2001.[1] "So Like a Rose" by It's Not Mimi. Again was posted in August 2002.
Ryou started a thread for the ship at FictionAlley Park's SCUSA forum in November 2002 and named the pairing "SS Dubious Tryst". At that time, posters discussed the potential of the pairing and what appeared to be the complete lack of fanfiction for it. The SCUSA thread was quiet, with only a couple of post per year after the initial interest around the thread's creation.
The LiveJournal community remus_draco was founded in October 2004. slippyslope (now megstuff) wrote a Remus/Draco essay for ship_manifesto in October 2004, Of Wolves & Dragons. slippyslope also created a Remus/Draco masterlist, which is now friendslocked.
As of December 2017, there are 77 works with the "Remus Lupin/Draco Malfoy" tag on Archive of Our Own.[2]
