Danmei Podfics With Gem is a mature, 18+ podfic podcast dedicated to transforming mulitfandom danmei (Chinese "Boys Love," also known as "BL") fanfiction into audio gems. It stars GemAsteria as the narrator. The podcast launched in December 2022. All podfics on her podcast are cross-posted from her A03 account.
What makes this podcast unique is that the narrator aims to highlight a different writer for every story she records, and commissioning a different artist for every story (for podcast cover art). She has a public gallery of commissioned art where she showcases who she collaborated with.
Due to recent changes in Spotify's Terms of Service, Gem has removed full episodes from Spotify, and other streaming services her work is syndicated to, and replaced them with trailers only. All show notes include a direct link to the podfic that can be streamed on AO3.
