DRipper is a term that originated in the X-Files message boards and X-Files mailing lists in the early 2000s, during the airing of the 8th and 9th season of the original series of The X-Files. It's a Portmanteau of the words Doggett, Reyes and Shipper.
It's used to refer to fans who ship the X-Files characters John Doggett and Monica Reyes and want them to be romantically involved.
There is a Delphi hosted DRipper message board, which is still online (but more or less inactive).
One of the first usages of the term on alt.tv.x-files was on December 3, 2001.[1]
