Dangan Ronpa AE: Ultra Despair Girls is a spin-off of the Dangan Ronpa series. It is a third-person shooter where the player, Komaru Naegi, must survive post-apocalyptic Japan with the help of her reluctant partner Toko Fukawa, and her alter, Genocider Syo.
Listed alphabetically, main and minor characters are the aforementioned protagonists, Jataro Kemuri, Kotoko Utsugi, Masaru Daimon, Monaca, Nagisa Shingetsu, Nagito Komaeda, (as "the servant",) Haiji Towa, Hiroko Hagakure, Taichi Fujisaki, Yuta Asahina, Byakuya Togami and Makoto Naegi. Variants of Monokuma serve as bosses.
