Reactions and Reviews

One of the 'ol standby clichés in Sentinel slash fanfic is 'the sentinel and guide must have sex.' There are dozens of stories centered around this beloved cliché. This is one of my favorites. Blair determines that after three years, it just isn't going to happen. He puts aside his own feelings and tries to be professional about it; he prepares several dossiers on more "suitable" guides for Jim and presents them to him one morning. Jim thinks he's lost his mind. Angst and discovery ensue.[1]

Wow, I hadn't thought about that story in AGES! I'm so glad you rec'ed it! It was great to revisit an old fave! :) [2]

On his first day off in two weeks, Jim gets a Sandburg wake-up call at 6:00 a.m. You can imagine how thrilled he is about that. He's even less thrilled to discover Blair's packed up and ready to go, just as soon as Jim picks a new guide from a stack of resumes (with pictures!) Why? You'll have to read to find out. Both funny and angsty, with a brilliantly brilliant Blair (seriously, I haven't seen babble this good since...well, ever) and a wonderfully confused Jim (poor Jim), this fic is one of the few medium-length stories that I think is perfect just as it is. A highly satisfying tale.[3]

This brought tears to my eyes. Just lovely..and making me smile through the tears is amazing. Intense and emotional while making me want to slap Jim up side the head. Well done![5]
