User:Auntags, why move the year category to the fandom page? Isn't it typical practice to put all of the parent categories on the fandom category, not on the page for the fandom? -- Quaelegit (talk) 11:38, 5 December 2022 (UTC)

I'm basing that on the way we currently organize the year categories. All the subcategories for year categories are things like 2022 Fanfiction, 2022 News Media etc. There's some instruction on Category:Chronology, where it says "Subcategories under Chronology are for articles on topics that have well-defined dates, such as fanworks, archives, websites, conventions, and other fandom occurrences. Do not include fandoms, fans, or fan activities." Now granted, this is a collaborative fanwork/meme but I think the same rule applies. --Auntags (talk) 22:32, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
