I see a bunch of different fan music categories and even a duplicate (see Category talk:Fan Albums). It seems like it would be easier to keep track of them all if we added a top layer, like so:
We also have Template:FannishBand, but no category for it. So far it's only been used three times, but other pages could use it, like Harry and the Potters.
There are also multiple fannish music traditions that go by different names, and having a general fan music category means they will all have a place to live.

- I think that's a great idea. The individual pages related to fan music (bands, music groups & genres) are hard to pick out from looking at the Audio category. (If we were to make this move then Template:Fannish Band could be edited to autoadd to this category)
- Should we discuss this on Category:Audio's talk page too? As that will be the parent category, it'll probably be the category most heavily impacted by the change ie. a lot of pages & categories currently in Category:Audio will be moved into this new proposed category. --auntags 19:07, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
