Cascading (In a good way) is a popular Albedo/Kaeya fanfic in the Genshin Impact fandom. It is a complete one shot with a continuation focused on Diluc titled Old Habits Die Hard. The sequel remains incomplete as of September 21st, 2023. While it is not tagged as such, the fic is a popular and relatively early example of the Trans Kaeya headcanon.[1]

oh my GOD. OH MY GOD? THIS IS EVERYTHING. LIKE, OH MY GOD? i don't even know where to start but i KNOW i was so immensely tickled with "kaeya nearly kills albedo not even a month later." LIKE IT'S JUST SO FUNNY AND CUTE AND aejfjskfjskjfksfjw everything flows so well and i absolutely adore the way their relationship progresses throughout the story. THE ICICLE ON ALBEDO'S WALL? amazing. THE WAY KAEYA JUST STOOD BY ALBEDO'S BED AT GOD KNOWS WHAT HOUR? riveting. AND THEN EVERYTHING THAT FOLLOWED AFTER IS JUST *CLENCHES FIST* SO GOOD AND ENGAGING and it just really reached its peak during their trek to starsnatch cliff, where albedo fucking mistakes his falling in love with CARDIAC ARREST. and when i thought it can't get any better, kaeya is trans, and i just. it was so absolutely thrilling as someone who's very onboard with the headcanon himself. i feel insane but in a good way. i fell so hard for this fic you have no idea. what the fuck. god bless you. thank you for this gift I OWE YOU MY INSANE SEROTONIN BOOST TODAY. i know i'll be reading this again later WTF.
Helloooo this fic is so good;;I love your interpretations of the boys (and even the rest of the characters it all feels so real!). idk how to explain it but the way you show their conflict between their pasts and their present in mond AAAAAHHH I just loved watching them grow to trust each other bcos their lore makes them both seem so so lonely...the way you wrote them just made them feel so fleshed out with all the details and little moments really humanized everyone (aha sorry for the term albedo)
some in particular that i liked were the lisa teaching kaeya bits (it made me prettt emotional ngl!) sucrose and kaeya being from the same school!! your sucrose in general!!! her calling him a friend!!! klee ex machina of getting albedo to call kaeya pretty... Kaeya being trans was especially nice since I am a firm believer in that headcanon >< just the knights being like one a family... man that was so good...
Your last fic was actually already my fave kaeya/albedo one and here I was thinking "damn maybe I have a new favorite..." only to find out you wrote them both!!! It made me really happy!!! I love love love your writing style! thank you so much for all the lovely content <333
