Brittney is a Hanson fan who wrote several highly popular stories, moderated forums, hosted awards and challenges and ran one of the largest Hanson fanfic sites, Alone In The Pretense, as well as the Book Down In the Basement webring. In the past few years, she has transitioned to self-publishing some of her stories, both originals and fanfics with the serial numbers filed off.

She hosted The Spark Inside fic challenge for several years, as well as multiple awards, including the Fools Banquet Awards and the TP Hanfic Awards. She also moderated the forum Just Shy of Reality, which hosted a book club and newsletter at various times.
