Blue Byrd is a fanfiction author, primarily in Harry Potter fandom. She is best known for fics focusing on the character Marcus Flint.
She was part of the group of Harry Potter writers known as "the HP Muses", who shared the Yahoo! group Pierian Springs.
Fandom History
From a Silvermoon Interview with Blue Byrd in early 2000:
[My pen name's] main composing elements are Orange Juice's 1980 song "Blue Boy", the works of Elizabethan British composer W. Byrd, and They Might Be Giants' song "Birdhouse in your Soul" - though I'm sure there'll be more if I go looking for them.
I wrote my first fic for the CATS fandom *blushes furiously* in early 1998. It was a trilogy I never quite got round to finishing, but feedback was good. Not nearly as helpful or detailed as that which HP fandom regulars have got used to by now, though. As for HP fanfic, I wrote "Slytherin Scores" in late 2001, about six months after I entered the fandom.
