Pierian Springs was a Yahoo! group for a group of nine Harry Potter fanfiction authors called "the HP Muses".
The group was primarily used as a fanfiction archive: only three messages have been posted to the mailing list. However, fanfiction by all of the group's moderators was posted in the group's Files section, as well as exclusive "Christmas cookies" by six of the authors that were only available at the group.[1][2]
The group was create in April 2002 but was "not yet open to the public" and had restricted membership until approximately December.[3] Files are restricted to members, but membership is now unmoderated and open to anyone with a Yahoo! account.
