Tess, also known as TessFawcett, is a Harry Potter fanfiction author.

Most of her fanfiction was written in 2002 and focuses on minor characters. She posted at FictionAlley and FanFiction.Net, but has since deleted her stories from both sites. Her fanfiction is still online the Yahoo! group Angsty Bludgers, which Tess started in February 2002 for updates and discussion of her fanfic.

Tess is best known for Love on the Quidditch Pitch, which was updated until 2007 but remains an abandoned WIP. It tells the story of a seven-day 1953 professional Quidditch match mentioned in the Comic Relief book Quidditch Through the Ages.

Tess was one of nine "HP Muses" who shared the Yahoo! group Pierian Springs.

Bio

From Tess's FanFiction.Net profile, circa 2002:

I am a student; I write mostly Harry Potter fanfiction. I belong to a number of [SCUSA] ships, some very odd, on FictionAlley, which I won't bother to list here.

I'm at work on about five billion projects at once, as always. More information can probably be found at my LiveJournal ( it's certainly more frequently updated! I've also recently set up a Yahoo group (Angsty Bludgers) to discuss my work, so I can easily be reached there.[1]

Chaptered Stories

  • Love on the Quidditch Pitch. "1953. The Heidelberg Harriers, 'fiercer than a dragon and twice as clever,' versus the all-witch Holyhead Harpies, founded in 1203. It was just another Quidditch game... but it became legend. Heck, how could a seven-day game with captains proposing marriage, crazy announcers, dragons, and all sorts of other craziness not?" (Jan 2002 - Dec 2007)
  • Logic Has No Place Within These Walls. "The Weasley twins' final prank wreaks havoc among the Hogwarts staff." (Mar-Apr 2002)

One-Shots

  • Hannah of Hufflepuff and the Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Day. "When Hannah Abbott of Hufflepuff House forgets her Charms notebook in Greenhouse Four, she innocently returns for it... little knowing what horrors lie in store for the unwary." (Jan 2002)
  • The Idle Hill Of Summer. "When you're seventeen and have only a year of school remaining between you and life in the real world, you know everything is changing. But when Lord Voldemort's just returned from the dead, you don't know what the winds of change may bring. Gryffindor Chaser Katie Bell the summer after Harry's fourth year." (Jan 2002)
  • Between Shadow And Blinding Flame. "It had been so many years... The Ministry regrets to inform you... I love him, I love him, ran the patter of her lips. And she formed his name on her tongue and sang and she sent him word she loved him so much, so much, and death was nothing... Typical Ravenclaw, Arabella, Miss Arabella Eysell with her head in a book... Who had Snape told?... There's rosemary, that's for remembrance... Arabella Figg prepares to teach at Hogwarts." (Feb 2002)
  • Herbology Lesson. "A glimpse of Professor Sprout at work in the sunshine. A former Death Eater finds acceptance in perhaps the last place he would expect." (Feb 2002)
  • Honey, You're Fired!. "How does Slytherin Captain Marcus Flint tell Keeper Karen Bletchley she's off the Quidditch team when he knows that her reaction will involve things thrown at his head and an end to all those fun snogging sessions behind the equipment shed?" (Feb 2002)

  • Dreaming And The Lifted Veil. "Narcissa Malfoy remembers Hogwarts: life, love, and Lily Evans. F/f slash." (Mar 2002)
