Blue Bloods is an American police procedural drama series shown on CBS.


The series follows the Irish-American Reagan family of police officers with the NYPD. Francis "Frank" Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the Police Commissioner and a widower. One of his sons, Joe, was murdered in the line of duty. Frank has three other adult children:

  • Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg), a top NYPD detective. Danny is married to Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson), an ER nurse. They have two sons, Jack and Sean.
  • Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) is an assistant district attorney. Erin is divorced and has one teenage daughter, Nicole "Nicky" Reagan-Boyle (Sami Gayle), who lives with her.
  • Jamison "Jamie" Reagan (Will Estes), Frank's youngest child, has a law degree from Harvard but after Joe's death chose to enter the police force instead.

Rounding out the main cast is Henry Reagan (Len Cariou), is Frank's father and a former NYPD beat cop who rose through the ranks to Police Commissioner.
