manic_intent first began writing fanfic when she was 15, exclusively in Forgotten Realms, where she wrote a string of Mary Sues before suddenly seeing the Light, crawling back from the precipice of fanwriter insanity. She took a break from fandoms and resurfaced in the Pirates of the Caribbean fandom, and has been writing almost exclusively slash fanfiction to date. Her interest in concepts of humanity, justice, gender equality, politics and worldbuilding are common themes often revisited in her work.
