Anya/Raven, also known as Ranya, is the femslash pairing of Anya and Raven Reyes in The 100 fandom. Even though the pairing can be considered a crack ship (Anya and Raven never met in canon), they are one of the most popular The 100 pairings. As of 2020, Anya/Raven is the 5th most popular ship, and the 2nd most popular femslash ship, in The 100 fanworks on Archive of Our Own.
Canon
Anya was the leader of a unit in the Woods Clan. She was once the mentor of the former Grounder Commander, Lexa. Anya was an original inhabitant of Earth. She had been living with her clan in the area where the 100 landed since before the events of the series premiere.
Raven is the primary mechanic and explosives expert for the Delinquents. Raven is not part of the original the 100, however, she barters her way down to Earth with the help of Abigail Griffin to join her boyfriend, Finn Collins, by refurbishing an escape pod. Once on Earth, Raven builds a radio that allows the Delinquents to make contact with the Ark. She also creates walkie-talkies, bullets, grenades and bombs for the 100.[1]

There is a surprisingly high number of people who ship Raven and Anya together, this in spite of the fact that, aside from Anya being part of the team sent to kill Raven and the rest of The 100 in season 1, the two have never actually met and Anya dies partway into season 2.
Anya/Raven is mainly popular as a side pairing in Clarke/Lexa fanworks, with Raven often portrayed as Clarke's best friend and Anya as Lexa's best friend/older sister/mentor figure. This became especially common after Lexa's death in season 3, as many Clexa fanworks became canon divergence or set in alternate universes at this point to circumvent the death, thus also creating a response to include Anya as a character who lived. The popularity of the pairing initially came about as a way for Clexa writers to pair the spares in their fics, with Anya having no canon love interests and Raven's canon love interests being generally short-lived and unpopular. Over time, Anya/Raven became a widely accepted fanon pairing with more fanworks focusing on them as the main pairing. In the Clexa au survey, 65.9% of 1,481 respondents chose Anya/Raven as their favorite ship for Raven, and 80.8% of 1,470 respondents chose Anya/Raven as their favorite ship for Anya.
As of 2020, Anya/Raven is the 5th most popular The 100 ship on Archive of Our Own. Anya/Raven has consistently been within the top 100 of femslash pairings on Archive of Our Own, ranking 98th in 2016,[2] and 51st in 2017,[3] 45th in 2019, and 47th in 2020.
