A Time Out Of Fragment is a Uhura/Chapel vignette by Paula Smith.
It was published in Warped Space #20 as part of a trio of vignettes titled: "Filthy Funnies."
It was illustrated by Gordon Carleton.
The vignette is a non-explicit parody of A Fragment Out of Time published two years before. That fic was the first published Kirk/Spock slash story. Within "A Time Out Of Fragment" is the line: "It wouldn't be setting a precedent." a reference to the first line in "A Fragment Out of Time" which begins with “Shut up…we’re by no means setting a precedent.”
