The Editorial
This zine is truly named. Two years ago, I had never seen an episode of The Professionals or read a fan story. However, the seed was planted in a conversation with friends, who complained that they wanted more straight Pros stories to read. So I acquired the tapes, and two zines, and then \ wanted more straight Pros to read.
I knew no Pros writers or Illustrators. So I wrote. I wrote my own fiction. I sent messages out on the Internet, the Great Dark, for Pros fans. I wrote to Kate Nuernberg, editor of British Takeaway, for authors' addresses. I wrote to authors. I wrote to people I did not know, and to places where I did not even know there were people.
And I got responses. They were not all positive. Some were confused (how do you explain what you mean by a "fanzine"?). But some were wonderful. They are what enabled you to have what you hold In your hands.
First thanks must go to Sharon F, through whom I got the entire collection of tapes. Without her, not only would I have missed many hours of viewing pleasure, but I wouldn't have been able to write one story. Next major thanks go to Kate Nuernberg, who not only contributed her wonderful art and the addresses of most of my contributors, but also support and encouragement.
Alex MacKensie deserves thanks for answering my vocabulary questions (believe me, British is a foreign language!) and for information about the show. Sheila Paulson not only got me started on this fandom, but offered her art and as always, support and friendship. And thanks are due to all my contributors, who trusted me with their talent. This Is the best part of fandom.
The Professionals is an entertaining, engrossing, action-packed, well- written and well-acted espionage drama aired on British T.V. 1977-83. All the stories herein are taken from the situations and relationships seen on the show, and within that time period. No alternate universes here. It's "pure" Pros. Enjoy!

Reactions and Reviews
I wouldn't waste my time. I read it but it were so unremarkable I don't remember if it were either straight or slash. [1]
