Reactions and Reviews
One of the best of the, to quote a friend, "stories where they throw up all over each other". I think the appeal here has a lot to do with the image of Bodie made vulnerable by illness. I think a lot of us see the marshmallow behind the steel and enjoy having a well-written story affirm our vision.[2]
"A Kindred Hand" explores B&D's understanding of each other (or rather Doyle of Bodie) and it's just beautifully done. Realistic too.[3]
I like seeing a different side to Bodie. I imagine an ill Bodie would be very much like this -- all independent and helpless at the same time. [4]
