Reactions and Reviews: Issue 1

.. a little zine that I'm surprised I haven't seen advertised all that widely is called THE SMALL PRINT, also all "straight" PRO'S — I think the only place I've ever seen it advertised was right here in Mixed Doubles, in fact — and for such a small "unassuming-looking sort of zine, I was thrilled to find some of the best, most well-written straight PROs stories I've ever read. Anybody who hasn't read this zine should get their hands on a copy while they can! [1]

cover of issue #2
  • Queen And Country by HG writing as Pat Fox (part 4 in the 'Stepping Stones Universe')

  • First Person-Singular by Meg Wright
  • Ill Met By Moonlight by O. Yardley writing as Kate Bowless
  • Trading Places by Rob
  • U-Turn by HG writing as J.M. (part of the Step Universe)

Reactions and Reviews: Issue 2

Back to the subject of Doyle's first kill (again?): the best treatment of the topic that I ever came across was "First Person -Singular" by Meg Wright. Very good indeed, for a straight story; I highly recommend it. It came from a zine originally but I don't know which one." [2]
