A S Lawrence was a long-time Sports Night fan writer. Her stories are largely slash, however she did some gen and het. Dan/Casey was her main slash pairing. She died in January 2013.[1]

In the 1980s, I wrote fan fiction for Battlestar Galactica. Sometimes I wrote it as Anaïs; sometimes I wrote it as A S Lawrence, or A M Sinclair. Occasionally, I wrote it as Charlotte Sturley. All of this made sense on some level, or it did at the time. But everyone was me. And still is. I also co-ran The Thirteenth Tribe, the British Battlestar Galactica fan club, and took over The Richard Hatch Fan Fellowship, when its founder gave it up due to ill-health. Fandom may, or may not, be a waste of time, but without it, I would probably never have gone to America. I doubt America would have cared either way; but hey.

Fannish Timeline

A S Lawrence managed a Battlestar Galactica fan group and published a quarterly magazine and fanzines in the early to mid 1980s. She authored novel-length fics for the fanzines. She was also in charge of The Richard Hatch Fan Fellowship and issued zines under the label of AAA Press.

She established a Quantum Leap fan club, Quantum Quest, published a quarterly newsletter, and wrote fan fiction for Quantum Leap zines under the AAA Press imprint in the late 1980s and early 1990s. She also created Basically Bakula, a newsletter for Quantum Leap actor Scott Bakula.

She authored Sports Night fan fiction from 2003 to 2013, occasionally creating fiction for Dead Poets Society, and in 2008, she created a long fanfic based on Diana Wynne Jones' "Howl" and "Chrestomanci" universes as a Yuletide NYR. She contributed more than 100 drabbles to the LiveJournal community sn100.
