This category contains articles about specific fan communities (sometimes known as "Fandoms"). There are many different interpretations of what constitutes a fandom/fan community and how they are defined; we're aiming to include as many interpretations as possible in the arrangement of this category.

There are six subcategories:

• Fandoms by Source Text is for articles about fandoms that are based around a media text, such as a film, book or television show. For example, the Supernatural fandom is a community of fans of the TV show Supernatural.
• Fandoms by Source Community is for articles about fandoms that are not limited to a single text, but rather the community is formed around a common interest. Often this interest will be the medium produced by the community, or its origins will relate to the shared tastes of its members. For example, Media Fandom or Vidding Fandom.
• Newsgroups is for articles on Usenet newsgroups.
• Offline Spaces is for articles on fan communities that occur in offline spaces.
• Social Networking is for articles on social networking sites as they relate to fandom and the fan communities that gather there.
• Websites is for articles about specific websites where fan communities exist/have made their home, for example FanFiction.net.
