The Fan 911 Auction is a charity auction to benefit those individuals and families impacted by the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and United Airlines flight 93.

What is the Fan 911 Charity Relief Auction?

The Auction is an effort to raise money to be donated to the relief efforts taking place in the wake of the terrorist attacks on September 11th. The Auction is being conducted solely by fans, using items donated by fans. It was conceived as a way for fandom to express its support and assistance to those who have been devastated by the events of September 11th.

When is the Auction being held?

The Fan 911 Charity Relief Auction will be held Oct. 22-29, 2001.

Who does the Auction benefit?

The money raised by the Auction will be donated to NYC's Twin Towers Fund (http://www.nyc.gov/html/em/twintowersfund.html) and the United Way's September 11th Fund (http://september11fund.org/) You will have the option of selecting either charity. Proceeds not marked for a specific charity will be split 50-50 between the two.

Auction items included general and adult items. The auction page lists items from the following fandoms: The X-Files, Star Trek TNG, Highlander, The Sentinel, Star Trek Voyager, Queen of Swords, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Hercules the Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Magnificent Seven, Star Trek DS9, La Femme Nikita, War of the Worlds, Starsky & Hutch, Stargate SG-1, Diagnosis Murder, The Pretender, 24 (script for the as of auction date unaired pilot), Sliders, Farscape, Blake's 7, X-Men, Dracula, Star Wars, Queer As Folk, Babylon 5, Man from U.N.C.L.E., Due South, and Wiseguy. The auction was followed by a raffle in 2002.[3]
