Total Drama Official is a popular Amino community for Total Drama fandom. It also has an official Instagram account.[3] [Unable to archive] As of December 2023, it has nearly 15,000 members and is the largest community for Total Drama on the platform. Although most of these members are inactive, the community is home to many fanartists, fanfic authors and roleplayers. Many members participate in Art Fight as well, and/or are fans of Danganronpa, seen when an April Fools joke by head mod Jackie in 2022 had Junko Enoshima temporarily take over the community.[4]
Before Total Drama Official was founded, there was another popular Total Drama community on Amino for the series, but a lack of moderation on the former led to Total Drama Official being created.
Total Drama Official has many challenges and contests for its members. It's recommend all new users use the links in TD Amino Important Links, Archived version to get started with the community.
Total Drama Official also has a yearly Gift Exchange called Total Drama Official Amino Winter Exchange.
History
How I became a leaderI joined the old Amino on January 2017. I quickly got adapted to it because I loved the show, I loved making posts, and I got into roleplay. I made some great friends and quickly became a part of the community.
There were many trolls and bullies on the old amino with no management team to help us. Frozenlake recruited an unofficial management team. And she recruited me as a curator. I was honoured because I didn't have a management team status on any community at the time. So I was glad that somebody had noticed me.
We had even more trolls and bullies, and the rest of the management team and I tried to handle them. After a while, I was noted for how well I handled things and how much the community seemed to enjoy my presence. I was promoted to unofficial leader.
It came time that the old community wasn't working out too well. The management team and the other members had spent too much time trying to stop all the drama. The off topic content. The rule breakers. The trolls. And the fact that we could do nothing about it. We created a new community, this community. Where our statuses, like my leader status, became official.
After Frozenlake resigned, I ended up being promoted to Agent Leader because I was the most contributing leader at the time.[5]

Side Bar Contest
The side bar contest is a monthly contest for artists on the amino to have their art featured as the background of the side panel navigation and the launch image for all members to see.Each month has a theme tied to it, and users participating must draw a piece of Total Drama Fan Art pertaining to that theme.
Their art will be shown on the side bar for the full month, and allow our Amino to get festive with the month![6]

Edited Icon Contest
Every month, alongside the Side Bar Contest, we have a contest in which you, as members of the Amino, will edit our TD Amino icon upon a theme we give you. And the winner will be able to have their icon as the face of the Amino for the whole month![7]Total Drama Official Instagram page

Themed Fanfic Contest
This contest was created by SD, leader of the fanfiction committee on this Amino.The Themed Fanfic Contest is a contest in which each month of this Amino is given a theme. And users who choose to participate will write their own fanfiction based upon the theme of the month.
{Ex: If the theme were to be summer, users can write a fanfic of TD characters spending a day at the beach or going to a summer carnival.[8]

- The Case Of The Glitter Stealer by Aria, Archived version, featuring a detective OC trying to solve a mystery involving many characters from Total Drama: Pahkitew Island. Case Fic. Won in February 2019 for the theme Glitter Party.
- Journey to Mount Honua by Bailey, Archived version, where Laurie and Miles hike a mountain together. Won in April 2020 for the theme Earth Day.
- Choose Your Own Path by Courtney, Archived version, a Cyberpunk AU Choose Your Own Adventure story featuring Courtney and Duncan. Won in September 2022 for the theme Sci-Fi.
Challenges
Ship of the Week
Ship of the Week, otherwise known as SOTW, is a weekly event held by the Total Drama Amino Management Team, where we will announce a random character every week, and participating members should make an entry related to a ship including that character. The entry could be in the form of art pieces, edits, fanfiction stories, essays, and cosplays. Each entry must have the hashtag #SOTW in their post.[9]Total Drama Official Amino community
Ship week was held every week from January 2021 to September 2021.
Character Of The Week
Character of the Week is a weekly contest on this amino where a Total Drama character is chosen by the Management Team through a randomizer.This contest took place from April 2019-January 2021 until all the characters had their own special week.
Users can then submit blogs related to this character. It can be fan art, fan edits, fan fiction, blogs, theories, quizzes, anything you want! As long as it is related to the character of course. Entries must be submitted under the hashtag #CharacteroftheWeek
The Management Team at the end of the week votes on the best entry and that person will be crowned winner! And be able to receive prizes.[10]

These were released on certain days, but you are free to do them whenever you wish. Some were judged challenges but some were not.[11]
