Courtney is a contestant on Total Drama. She is a prominent character within the series and popular with fans. As of September 2023, she is the third most fanwork'd character from Total Drama as a whole on Archive of Our Own, behind Noah and Duncan. Courtney's Fanon Personal Name is often Satella. This comes from Total Drama Comeback, though Fannish Drift means much of Total Drama fandom do not know this is where the name came from. In Total Roblox Drama, she is called Courtlyn. Fans may call her this outside of the Roblox fangame.

Her appreciation days are January 10th (in Chefhatchet's Appreciation Calendar) and November 9th (in Ace-TD's Mega Character Appreciation List).

Courtney's Ethnicity

Courtney's ethnicity is ambiguous. Word of God has stated that she is Hispanic, not specifying her ethnicity, and East Asian, though on two separate occasions by two different members of Total Drama's staff. Fan headcanon about her ethnicity are varied, even outside of Fannish circles, and some believe she is White.

Courtney is racially ambiguous at best. She's more than likely a woman of color, but there are several ethnicities that have her skin color, so without confirmation, we can't really say she's Latina, but I wouldn't argue against it if she turned out to be such, and if she is Latina, then yes, her portrayal is a problem, especially when there aren't any other Latina characters in the cast.

When it comes to the point about having a sexualized body, that pretty much applies to most of the Gen 1 girls, especially Lindsay and Leshawna.

As for being compared negatively to her white counterpart, that depends heavily on which white counterpart you're referring to, because if you're referring to Gwen, Gwen was pretty much treated like shit during the fallout of the whole "cheating" debacle.

But I reiterate: if she is in fact, Latina, then yeah I can see how she'd fall into the Spicy Latina trope....
