Zine Zone was an online adzine for print fanzine publishers to list and advertise their fanzines online. The editors also maintained the Zine Zone (webring).
From the FAQ:
"Our mission is simple, to become a central repository for Zine information on the Internet. Here you can find Zine submission and purchasing information for every and any fandom..... Zine Zone's information comes in part from the generous contributions of the members of the fanzine-l mailing list."
Among the reasons the site was shut down in 2004 was fandom's ongoing concern over being sued for producing "illegal" material and the increasing online visibility of fanzine sales.[1]
