wowaka was an influential Vocaloid producer who worked with Hatsune Miku. He died suddenly of heart failure on April 5, 2019 at the age of 31, shocking the Vocaloid fandom.
wowaka's Vocaloid music used fast-paced melodies, loud and jarring instrumentation, and sudden endings, and focused on heavy and difficult themes such as bullying, unplanned pregnancy, and mental illness. Many other Vocaloid producers cite him as an influence. He has a dedicated fanbase.
