Weiss/Yang, also known as Freezerburn, is a RWBY femslash pairing involving Weiss Schnee and Yang Xiao Long.
Canon
Weiss and Yang are schoolmate and teammate. The two were originally not on the best terms, Weiss complaining of Yang and Ruby's antics and Yang believing she had a problem with her sister. Despite their hostility early on, the tension between the two seems to cease by later volumes and they are seen working together without issue.
In Volume 5, when Weiss Schnee is taken hostage by Ravan, Yang's mom, Yang finds her and they escape together. Later on, Yang confides in Weiss about feeling betrayed by Blake leaving her at the end of V3, and dealing with abandonment from people close to her. In turn, Weiss opens up about her troubled family life.
Fandom
During the first 3 volumes of RWBY, Freezerburn was a rarepair within the fandom. However after volume 5 showed their reunion and proved that they did care for one another outside of just being teammates there was much more interest in the ship. It is often shipped alongside Ladybug as Ruby and Blake are without their partners otherwise.
