The Adventure Zone Fandom
On June 1, 2017, Tumblr user lesbianvoidfish posted a drawing of Taako from The Adventure Zone saying “Vriska did nothing wrong”.
Inspired by this, on November 1, 2017,[1][2] other Homestuck fans (including swamp-wizard,[3] ot3,[4] and snilm[5]) pooled their money[6] to buy a Jumbotron message on the My Brother, My Brother, and Me podcast and have Justin McElroy himself say the line.
On August 20, 2018, in the 420th episode (numbered 421), Justin did read out the message, addressed to Vriska from “the Dirkjohn hivemind.”
Sometime afterwards, the McElroy brothers stopped selling Jumbotron messages. This is commonly ascribed to this controversy.
