Veni, Vidi, Vids! is a newsletter that regularly collects and posts links to tech info, IP (intellectual property/copyright issues), meta, and recs for vids and vidding across all fandoms. The posts are split to keep things organized; Morgan Dawn posts the Meta, IP & Tech newsletter on a monthly basis, while par_avion posts the Recs newsletter roughly twice a week.

The newletter started out on Livejournal and has an Insanejournal backup (infrequently updated). Since April 2009 all recent content has been mirrored on Dreamwidth.

The links to recs are publicly collected on diigo and delicious before being collated into the newsletter; on both those sites, they're tagged by fandom, month, vidder, and who made the rec, making for easy sorting. As of April 8, 2009, they had 3,675 vidrec entries, covering 250 fandoms and 1,375 vidders.[1]

The editors welcome pointers and links from anyone, whether in comments to newsletter posts or emailed directly to them at vidding@gmail.com; people with delicious accounts can send links via delicious (see Profile page for details).[1]

par_avion announced in June 2012:

"This will be the last newsletter compiled. I have deleted all of my tag subscriptions and google alerts and any future tagging/posting of vid recs to Diigo / Delicious / Pinboard will be eclectic and limited.

It's been a good five years. Thanks for reading!"[2]
