Canon

Vaggie is the manager of the Hazbin Hotel, an establishment in Hell dedicated to the redemption of sinners which she runs with her girlfriend Charlie.

Prior to settling down in Hell, Vaggie was an exorcist, a class of angel that is sent down to Hell annually to carry out exterminations – mass slaughter of sinners. During an extermination, Vaggie spared a sinner child, and was attacked and cast out by her fellow exorcists for it. She was found by Charlie, who tended to her injuries, unaware of her background, and the two became friends and girlfriends. Vaggie continues to hide her nature as an angel and former exorcist until the truth is forcibly outed.

  • Attraction to light: Before the show released, due to her moth theme, Vaggie was sometimes portrayed as being attracted to bright lights.
  • Scars: Vaggie is often depicted as having scars on her back where her wings were torn off. Sometimes she is also depicted as having a scar on her hand after being stabbed there in the season 1 finale.
