Hello! I'm a life-long fangirl with a lot of feelings about a lot of things. I yell about superheroes and queer stuff a lot, most recently in the context of fan studies and grad school!

Fannish History
I've been a fan for as long as I can remember, raised on Star Trek and superheroes by my parents, but I didn't realize that there were whole communities of people who shared my passion until high school. The first internet fandom I came to on my own was BBC Sherlock, closely by Doctor Who, but I wasn't really pulled deep into fandom until Supernatural. I hadn't even seen an episode of the show, but I loved all the art and vids for it that I found online, and so I sat down and marathon-ed my way through (accompanied by various friends and family along the way).
That's when I first began my first major fan creative endeavor: vidding. My very first video, Runnin', is still one of my faves and one of the most popular vids on my channel.
Fic writing was my next big step into fandom, which I didn't take in earnest until I came into the Daredevil fandom, where I found a wealth of creativity and love. Although I'm not very active in that fandom anymore, the Matt/Foggy ship community in particular is one of the best I've ever been a part of.
Recently, I finally got my hands on a graphics tablet and have been able to start digitally drawing the comic-style art I've adored and modeled my work after since I was a kid. Drawing is perhaps my favorite fannish activity right now (though not the most relaxing: I end up yelling "why are hands so complicated? why are elbows and knees so confusing to me?? HOW DO YOU DO THE LINES GOOD?" when I get frustrated.)
Current Favorites
I'm currently in a love-hate relationship with Gotham (as in, I love the characters with all my heart, but despair at how the show writes them), and living the multi-shipper life. Ed/Oswald forever, but also Babs/Tabs, Babs/Lee, Alfred/Lucius, Zsasz/everyone...basically, I just want everyone to be happy and loved.
I'm also digging into a whole mess of comics, mainly everything Batwoman, with DC Bombshells at the forefront.
A few months ago, I joined my first vidding MEP group, Battlefield Love Studios! They're a super rad bunch, and we've made some cool vids, which I highly recommend to anyone who's a fan of DC & Marvel.
On Fanlore
I'm new to wikis and editing in general, so I'm still learning the ins and outs and etiquette of this place! The International Fanworks Day celebrations brought me here, and I'm totally diggin' it - I hope to be able to continue to devote time to adding to this glorious resource of fan-info!
I tentatively plan to spend some time fleshing out ships and characters I'm familiar with in the Gotham & Daredevil fandoms, and possibly fill in/create pages for some of the smaller fandoms I'm part of, like for the 60s Batman series.
