Fannish History

I got into Daria fandom in the spring of 2000, after doing a Yahoo search for that cartoon on MTV about the smart girl and discovering the fourth season was about to begin. Despite a number of newbie gaffes, the other fans there helped me get on my feet as a writer; I owe a lot of where I am today to them.

I read Good Omens in 2002, and started lower_tadfield in January 2003, largely on the grounds of 'I can't believe there's not a Good Omens community on LJ.' From there, I bounced over to Discworld; between the two, I discovered Fandom RPG on LJ, and haven't looked back since. (Both of those games, buggreallethis and discworld_rpg respectively, have long since died off.)

I first saw Rent in 2003, but it didn't stick as a fandom until after I got involved in Milliways, a Panfandom RPG. Milliways has introduced me to a number of fandoms since, most notably Sneakers.

I was late to the Dr. Horrible bandwagon (for whatever reason, the initial fervor didn't grab me), but once I got there, it inspired me to pump out a lot of Crossovers and AUs. My Dr. Horrible/Iron Man crossover won a fan award in March 2009.
