I was born and raised in a fannish family, in the churches of Trek and LotR, and have been online since before there were blogs, i.e. since I was about nine/ten years old. I pretty much grew up in fandom, though I didn't write fic to be read by other people until the advent of ReBoot in the mid-nineties. I've had a LiveJournal since 2001.
I started in ReBoot and comics fandom, was a part of Subreality way back when, and am presently completely obsessed with Stargate: Atlantis. I was totally ambivalent about the Stargate universe until last year, when my wicked roommate duct-taped me to the couch and forced me to watch SG-1 until I cracked. It's been all downhill from there.
My fandoms are many and varied but include (in approximate order): Star Trek (except Enterprise), Lord of the Rings, Valdemar, Doctor Who, ReBoot, Babylon 5, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Harry Potter, X-Files, Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis, and probably more I'm forgetting. Sometimes one more than the others; lately it's been all SGA, all the time.
