Uru is a semi-canonical character from the universe of The Lion King. She is the mate of Ahadi and the mother to Mufasa and Scar. Her name means 'Diamond' in Swahili.
Source Text
The only mention of her in any form of source text by name is in the semi-canonical story A Tale of Two Brothers, included as one of the Six New Adventures. She never appears, and is away searching for alternate water sources during the story.
Fandom
Uru is overwhelming shipped with her (semi)-canonical mate Ahadi. Other ships involving her are quite rare, though occasionally she'll be paired up with an original character, usually in the context of either Taka or Mufasa not being Ahadi's.

Parentage
Whether Uru is Mohatu's daughter or not differs from fan to fan. If Ahadi is Mohatu's son, Uru will often be headcanoned as the daughter of the Selfish Lion.
Appearance
Partially due to the meaning behind her name, Uru will often be drawn with a diamond shaped patch on her head, akin to that found on certain horse breeds. Other times, it may resemble something similiar to what Zira possesses.
Her fur colour is usually portrayed as similiar to her son Taka's, rather than Mufasa's, though this will often depend on what fur colour each fan artist gives Ahadi.

Reference Uru by elwolfakalutik. This interpretation of Cub!Uru has dark red fur, and red eyes. She has an outlander nose - though a pink rather than black one - and her 'diamond' pattern extends down to her back (compare artist's version of Ahadi to get traits of both Mufasa and Taka).
